Tell me something good!: Condé Nast Traveler

changemakers_banner

Sorry for the infrequent posts but I’ve done something that has altered the course of my life and I need time to revel in it.

Condé Nast Traveler has posted an international competition that I think is pretty darn fantastic! Put on your thinking caps to share your ideas about how in addition to scoring the lowest tickets to Essasouira (for example) and dining in sumptuous surroundings you can also become a lasting part of the community you happen to be in at the moment. Who says that you can give of yourself, your time while visiting sites around the world that you couch potato friends only dream of? Travel and community service has been on the rise lately and I hope that this trend never ceases. Hey, just look at Peace Corps!

I wonder what kind of community service initiative I’ll join or maybe even create when I move back to Asia…
