Hello, I think that in 2010 I bit off more than I cared to chew. So if you want to find me, please go to my first blog: This Time Now

I am in my new and chic apartment in Seoul! Tonight as I was walking home, I had to thank God for such a wonderful apartment. I am truly grateful. For any Westerner who has ever had to look for an apartment in this city, well, I don’t have to tell YOU how difficult and frustrating that can be. For those of you who are contemplating finding that perfect place in this exciting but overpopulated city, snatch that place where you actually see real hardwood floors! You’ve been warned.
I have blond hardwood floors, off-white and new wallpaper (there are some incredibly vivid wallpaper designs in this town, you’ve been warned a second time) and glossy off-white closets with a built-in frigo and freezer. They are hidden. LOVE!!!

Since my place is small and sleek I just want to have clean lines, I want that my skin color and the color of my photographs be the only things that bring strong color to the table. I believe that I am at time in my life where I seek simplicity in just about everything that I encounter. Where is this coming from? I don’t know, but I’m going with it.

I am so focused on living well and wellness that I don’t even want to be distracted by a drinking glass. I bought some glasses that look similar to these courtesy of Ochre in NY and Lord help me to find a desk and chair this quietly bold here in Seoul. Amen.

I’m back in Seoul, South Korea, ladies and gents!

I don’t know how I’m going to do both, but I will try.
You will find me mostly on my other blog This Time in Seoul where I talk about design, culture, anything that I happen to find interesting in this wonderfully hectic city called Seoul.
I hope that you join me there as well, I will not abandon This Time Now, I just have to find another angle for it while I’m back in Seoul.
Any ideas?

Bisous a tous!

Fanny Ardent! She looks as good as I feel.

Today reminds me of Fanny Ardant.

If you don’t know who or what Fanny Ardant is, then, please get yourself to the nearest dvd before heading out to a cinema near you to witness Ms. Ardant in all of her glory. I first saw her in an Italian film, I must have been 13 or so, I loved the fact that I read in English what the actors were saying in Italian, and then, she appeared.
So strong was her allure, so strong is her allure still. I don’t know what it is about her, but at the age of 13 and ever since I have yet to be moved by any other actor. She is intelligent, giving and precise without being too much. She is beautiful but more than this or perhaps enhanced by this is, something dangerous and devil-may-care smolders in her eyes. She is masculin/feminin, she is the blue in the flame.

A dear friend of mine paid me such a compliment that it made me stop in my tracks: “Felicia, you remind me of Fanny Ardant”. I’m still floating on air, after all these years.

Films that I recommend: Vivement Dimanche, Femme d’à côté, and of course 8 Femmes…

“It’s the city itself…there’s something in the air”

Truer words were never spoken. Ayo really hit the nail on the head when she spoke about Paris. Thank you, Ayo. Vous, vous comprenez.

Listen to Ayo as she speaks about her feelings about New York and Paris. I know, I know, Paris gives me the sweetest hangover and I don’t wanna’ get over..

Haven’t bought anything from Banana Republic for a long time but I love the artists that they currently feature on their website. City Stories is quite wonderful. Check it out.

What are your favorite cities and what do they mean to you?
